As an orthodontist, I have the ability to change people’s smiles: this helps boost each person’s self-esteem and gives them greater confidence in the personal and professional life. At the same time, the orthodontic treatment process gives the person an improved bite, which in turn improves their oral health and decreases the likelihood of future dental disease.
Orthodontic treatment usually takes 18-24 months and patients usually come in about once a month. These regular visits give us time to get to know each other, as patients talk about their day, plans for the weekend, and share stories about their life. I appreciate the time we have together and how much I learn from our conversations.
By the time treatment is complete, not only does my patient have a healthy, stable, and beautiful smile, they have become part of the Hayward Orthodontics family!
My team and I strive to make every patient’s orthodontic experience, from their first call to the final retainer check, comfortable, efficient, and enjoyable. We are professionals who are dedicated to our work, combining years of experience with kindness and compassion.
We believe it is an honor to help people change their lives through orthodontics and do our best to keep everyone smiling throughout the journey!

Orthodontics is a constantly evolving specialty. Researchers and practitioners are continually developing new techniques, products, and technologies, all of which may be of benefit to patients: reducing treatment time, improving diagnostics, delivering a more comfortable experience, and ensuring lasting results. It is my responsibility to stay current on the latest options in order to offer the best care to patients.
As an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the California Association of Orthodontists, I have access to the latest information. Throughout the year I seek out a variety of continuing education opportunities. In addition to attending courses at meetings, I also participate in lectures and seminars and read relevant journals and other publications.
Beyond the Practice
I grew up in the East Bay Area and am happy to now be raising my family here in Hayward. Outside the office, my priority is time with my wife, kids, and our family dog. We enjoy camping and hiking, and make the most of our time together.
